Interview

I have an interview next week. I'm feeling good about this one, but who knows, I felt pretty good about the previous ones. I hope all goes well, and I think this change would be good for our family. Only time will tell. Wish me luck.

Tough Times

I don't know how many people even know this blog exists, but I just felt like putting a few things down into words. This last year has been a tough and trying time for me. I am very grateful for all the support and help that has been given. It has not gone unnoticed. When I was told the news, I thought, maybe a few weeks and possibly a few months and it would all be over. Here we are coming up on the year mark, and I'm still searching. Possibilities have popped up now and again, but nothing has come from them. What more could make a man feel worth less than not being able to provide for his family. I have tried keeping a positive look on this and have kept my spirits up, most of the time time. When will it end? There are more opportunities on the horizon, and I pray that one will come through. Thanks for listening to me ramble.

Chapel in Slovenia

As you may or may not know, I served my mission in Slovenia. The church is fairly young there as the first missionaries were sent there in 1991. While there I had many great experiences and met great people. The Members there are great and have recently been blessed for all their faith. Just over a month ago they dedicated their first chapel. Comments That Make a Daddy Proud

There are times is a dad's life when his offspring make a comment that can only make him smile. This morning was one of those days. For my birthday, I got a new BYU polo shirt (pictured here) and was sporting it for work. As I was heading out the door, Tenley saw the BYU symbol and said "Cougars!" How can you not smile when you see something like that. Anyways, I love my kids and am so greatful to have them.

ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!

Although I'm a big BYU fan, I find myself living in Jayhawk country. I would much rather be congratulating the Cougars on their success this season, but with so much excitement here, I want to give KU their recognition. Congrats on a great season and a national championship.
